The only way I can imagine "Star VS the Forces of Evil" coming into existence is that the producer's child got into their cocaine stash, and then promptly washed it down with enough booze to kill half their brain cells. The producer then thought "This will make amazing TV," and handed their flailing, drug addled little monster a pen and then animating the results. The art looks like what would happen if Picasso had a retarded, illegitimate lovechild and then bashed it upside the head with a shovel before it painted anything. The plot is a game of Mad Libs playing at the "LAUGH AT HOW WACKY AND ZANY OUR CHARACTERS ARE, AREN'T THEY SO COOL," angle, but is somehow executed in a way that you would think a 2 year old came back and vomited on said Mad Libs, leaving them forced to piece together the already disjointed and ham-handed attempt at what you humans call "humor" through chunks of Cheerios and crayons. All said, if I were to rate this accurately, I would have given it -10/10, just because it is so bad that it makes even the lamest attempts at a cartoon practically a classic.

I personally think that being descriptive is good, until it becomes too much. What I mean is: you don't need to completely illustrate a location or a character, to give the reader enough information for them make a clear picture in their head.
Put in the essential descriptive elements, optionally sprinkle in a few extra details for color, but don't exaggerate.

Nice beginning, NewbWriter: very dynamic and intriguing, and for what little I've seen quite in character.
Just one trick I use for dialogs: it pays off if you set the action before the character speaks, so the reader already know WHO speaks, and what they're doing at the moment: this helps creating an image of the scene in their head. If not stating the peaking character before the dialog, you can interrupted after a few words, like so:
>"Diaz," said Janna; "you need to teach how to make this queso; this stuff's great!"
The reader's eye catches really soon who's talking, and it helps. Just a little trick.

I'm looking forward to read the whole story: keep up, NW!
(And soon, you'll need to come up with a different name than that!!)

Not fucking included it, it was so unnecessary and raised so many more questions than it answered with no real comedic payoff. Personally I would have used the time from cutting it for either a scene briefly showing Toffee's movements after the Mewmans leave, or just given more time to the exposition back at the royal palace; perhaps expand upon what the wand being cleaved meant, who Toffee was, if the Mewmans knew of his plans given their proximity etc.

A bit of a green popped up in my head when I saw this pic. Hope someone likes, just wasted about ten minutes of breakfast cracking it out.

That picture was drawn by Simon. In his latest stream, he was drawing a picture of Star, Britney and Sabrina. I had to leave before he was finished as I expected that it would be available online the next day. It's been four days already, and no signs about that picture anywhere.
Does anyone know if it'll ever be available?, or will it banish into the void, as a fond memory of something that will never be real?

Not necessarily, but possibly. I like her as character because she represents a lot of character features which I always wanted either to have or to be near. No prejudices, open for relationship and engaging. I also like how she's not the usual walking submissive, sexual and blank anime fantsy. She clearly has some strong personality (although heavily influenced by her lack of experience, but that's just to be expected from 14yo who have been living in the palace for majority of her life) but she's also not afraid to make decisions for herself or disagree with somebody. I also think it's amazing that she's always trying to salvage anything into fun or good experience, but not to the point of being insane.

She's just positive. A girl like that who would want to have anything to do with me would be like a nice change from the hell I've lived through.

It's certainly a reference to thanksgiving and the themes behind that; however in the context of the show it's a glimpse into the story of Mewnie and the monster who inhabit it. I would imagine we'll learn more about that whole series of events in the past, given Toffee's arguable link to the events or at the very least his strong feelings towards the event and the royal family of Mewnie.

Well it could happen any time from now to when he's 18. You never know unless you estimate based on previous males in the family and even then it's a roguh estimate. There's a good chance he'll take more after Angie and be rather slim, yet in that instance I could see him ending up rather tall.

I think, like Star attacking Toffee before even saying a word to him and catching him by surprise for a few minutes, Marco may have been able to get a hit or two in that caught him off guard if given the opportunity. But then of course Toffee would stop playing nice and do something more serious in response, and so overpower him anyway.

Also Toffee sort of smugly saying "you made it" and then immediately getting blasted backwards by Star, audibly reacting with pain, is a really satisfying moment, even if that didn't last long.

I would not think so, in Roadside Attraction the victim was Candip, a ship that previously had not any kind of interaction or development at all and none of the two characters ever showed interest in each other until that episode.

Manna has some actual hints that Janna may have a thing for Marco and Starco is freaking Starco.

The victim would have to be a ship fans like despite not having any real sign of it being a thing in the show.

I think someones done a story like that? I'm not too certain about the premise of the whole idea though, I think most friends understand that some people are off limits if your friends have got an eye on them. In the even someone is taken and the other person reciprocates then it either ends up being discussed politely or there's a lot of hurt feelings involved in the only way young drama can provide. Neither really fits the show's tone.

Let's hope it's the former! Wasn't expecting Star to pull the strings to an extent either. It would have been wild to see her shocked at her two besties cavorting around but this is interesting. The real test is if Brittney prohibits her from getting along with Star (and Marco by proxy) since she is her arch nemesis. heck if there was a hypothetical Sabrina episode it could very well focus exactly on that kinda scenario.

Oh okay I get you a bit now, perhaps more of a Hope tries to pull a Janna on Janna herself by finding a way to get under her skin as a joke. Hope's the dark horse I'm hoping gets screen time in season 2, her design is just too damn cute. But yeah I get you, I like the potential dynamic she could have with Janna, there was always a troubled girl with a positive friend who'd try to keep them out of trouble; or at least I've seen it many times in school and university years. Add in to that the straight edge male friend and it's just such an interesting dynamic to explore.

Travel Light was a great Starco story. The adventure was fun-as usual- and the primary character interactions felt sweet and natural. Haha, I think I edited every single one of my fics for typos at least twice and they STILL contain quite a few of them along horrible grammatical errors.

At this point those typos and errors are just part of them, and I think if I ever write another fanfic it will also be filled with typos that I would never fix!
