And DC is STILL doing that. Remember how in Convergence: Batgirl the writer flat out said in an interview that she knew nothing about Cass? The big designated nostalgia event and they just brought in someone who doesn't know the characters, who cares, just put some words in the balloons and who gives a shit. Fuck.
I'm not even angry anymore, I'm just shaking my head in disbelief over how clueless DC can be. Look at Cass's big fucking return in Eternal. "This should make them happy, they're getting their favorite back! We even made her not talk again, that's how oldschool we're going with this! Oh, we changed her whole backstory to be totally different but nobody's going to notice that, right? Took a huge shit on her supporting cast and abilities and generally just made her a fucking useless bint who mopes around and does nothing in the whole series but that's good enough, right?"
