Didn't he say that Irkins abandoned romantic relationships and even sexual reproduction long ago. They've been using some form of artificial reproduction that there sex organs don't even function anymore.

Also I might be wrong on this, but didn't Tak actually die, as in she was the only character they let him kill off?

She was going to come back in a GIR episode. Zim was going to take GIR to a S.I.R unit contest, and she was going to sabotage. Most likely she would end up helping Zim works via show's formula.

Dib/Tak is superior.

Before Dib found out she was Irken, they got along well and Dib even gave her some of his meat.

That being said, Zim/Dib is probably unbeatable in terms of the best pair in IZ. Second only to Red/Purple.
