>>78986669>So, if someone wanted to make a popular to semi-popular Youtube, all they would need is a regular upload schedule and not have their video look like 2004-tier Movie Maker videos?Pretty much. That's how it worked for Let's Players.
If you start putting up videos REGULARLY and become somewhat professional at it, unless you have a mental illness you'll inevitably get better at it.
You get good recording gear, a professional-looking environment, a regular schedule, and then you just need an occasional fluke and there you have it, you built a fanbase.
Weebl wasn't an exceptional animator, but he is basically one of the FIRST with a recognizable name the internet has ever seen. And he uploaded more and more shit until some of his stuff got viral (not even Weebl and Bob, but his silly songs) and he is still living off of that success today.
Same goes for people like Totalbiscuit. Is he the most serious and rational person to ever talk about video games? No, he's an emotional cunt, but WHEN HE STARTED with his fancy microphone, nobody else could even compare at the time, and after a few lucky videos he never stopped growing. Because he kept going.
just keep churning out average quality stuff, and a single gem can propel you into internet fame, and people will even forget of your early and shameful stuff.
...that's also literally what happened with Pan.
he's cringy, his opinions aren't that great, his humor is mediocre at best, but his videos aren't painful to watch and every time something new comes out, I know if I look Pan up in 2 or 3 weeks I'll get his opinion on it.
