I dunno about you guys, but to me Livewire was always a brilliantly unique character because of her voice in STAS on WB way back when.
They missed the opportunity to really drive home the threat of an electricity based villain, and for fuck's sake.. The white wig looks fucking terrible. Did they stop at a Halloween shop and slap a Bride of Frakenstein wig on her?
The voices all blend together, this Cat Grant thing has the acting skill of a broken vending machine.
The dialogue, as you said.. Is fucking terrible. I'm so glad I don't have Live TV, so I won't accidentally run across this trash and puke all over myself.
They should have given her hair that stands on end, like static electricity does, and a shorter cut. They could've rigged up a battery operated "high light" hair net thingy, made out of electro luminescent wire, and blended it in with her spiked hair to make it look like energy was just radiating off of her.
It's like they were told by CW "Make a lazy girl power tv show, we're going to give you some tweens as a writing team anyway. We can't get the licensing from Warner Brothers to use a screen accurate Kryptonian Hope thingy, so we'll make the comic book one blend in with the suit by muting all the colors. Give her a skirt, you know, because.. wiiillld and cra-zay-zayyy.. Wooo.. Girl power.."
We should individually pick heroes, write five episodes worth of plot, dialogue, and highjack some costume redesigns and flood CW's public mail reception box.
