You're finishing up your Magnum Opus and statement on the current state of American Comic Books wrapped up in a tale of Multiversal Destruction, you see Marvel doing a story line featuring the end of the current Multiverse with allusions to God-Like (and possible writer stand-ins if Ewing's interpretation of Beyonders is any indication) beings being responsible, how can you resist making a reference to it.

This is evident throughout the stories told. The Gentry are bad ideas that ravaged the worlds on the dark side of the Multiverse, but were opposed and pushed back by the ideals of the light side.
Ultra Comics seemed to be a simultaneous convergence of multiple ideas in it's function as a hero, weapon, and trap.
