You might be thinking of Bleedman, who made Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi, which had a similar concept and aesthetic to FusionFall. I've seen claims before that the FusionFall team actually knew of and were inspired in part by Bleedman, and even wanted to hire him as an artist for the game, but don't know how legit they are.
