>>78097510Batman has been wearing heavy armor for thirty years. It's just that he usually only wears it when he needs it. Recent and well knowm examples:
>The Dark Knight ReturnsFighting Superman, obvious
>EndgameTaking on a Jokerized Justice League (on a somewhat related note, Bruce says he spent more on that suit than sixty percent of the world's nations spend on their militaries every year. That adds up to about 30 billion fucking dollars)
>Batman and RobinInvading Apokolips without back-up, and I believe he takes on Darkseid there as well
>Court of OwlsPurpose of the armor is twofold. To protect him from dangerously low temperatures, and to allow him a fair chance against the Talons, who are stronger and faster than humans and who outnumber him significantly
>Nolan BatsNot power armor, but people always complain about this. They were going for realism here, and lets face it. Even if his main strategy is to use stealth and avoid direct engagements, Batman does take on people directly all the time, and he does occasionally get shot despite his best efforts. He needs body armor, period.
>Arkham KnightAgain, technically not power armor, but still a commonly cited offender. He's doing his thing in the middle of a city-wide riot, and later a paramilitary invasion. Kevlar doesn't cut the mustard here.
>BatfleckAgain, he's taking on Superman. Armor is a must
Notice how most of these scenarios are not exactly everyday occurences?
And anon, just because you can take a bullet doesn't mean you'll automatically start walking into gunfire. Batman's suit has been armored for at least a decade now. Yet his tactics haven't changed. So I'm not exactly sure what you're complaining about here. Fan art being retarded? What else is new?
