>>78109378I'd say, towards a goal; I put myself at like 10%. People do like my stuff, and people seem to care about my thoughts on somethings
(though perhaps because I'm willing to give them at length), but in general we're not really all that successful.
We've got around 12k views overall that aren't from bots or whatever those randos on google analytics are, and we've got around 400 readers overall (not counting carryover, minimum of around ~300). We're around 160 pages in.
We have accomplished world building, but now it is a matter of getting things to happen in the world to generate interest. People like the characters (or at least Jam, Beatrice, Sammy and Craig), and I personally like writing Conrad because people hate him for being smug and sort of fully aware of his actions.
We're making about 15 bucks a month. Which pays the dropbox bill, which is nice. I wish we made more because we'd like to do mini little side-stories, which just aren't feasible given we do 3-4 pages a week and our own stuff on the side plus work. And people do tell us we have the potential to be bigger, but that's down the line.
I'd gauge us lower, but we're almost done with telling this first story, and we'll have full graphic novel length to this first arc when it is done. And really that is a sense of accomplishment.
We're not back to the drawing board, and we're fighting the good fight; and eventually someday we might make something from all this. Worst case scenario, we'll just have made something complete; which isn't all that shabby.
So like, I don't feel disheartened. I'm happy with what we have so far, I hope to see it grow, I have doubts it will diminish without extravagant effort on our part.
