I felt like if Jessica Jones did it alone, she would have been able to defeat Kilgrave without having anyone to die, but because of Nuke getting in her way because "muh we should just kill villains," Robin "muh you should only care about yourself and no one else also muh ded brother!" and Jeri "muh im a lawyer" caused unnecessary deaths and forced Jessica to resort to killing. Like, it was weird. I sort of get the, "We should kill villains" vibe from the show, but at the same time, I also get a "We shouldn't kill villains" vibe. Like, Jessica WOULD have been able to knock out Kilgrave, and in fact, she fucking did like three fucking times, but in each time he was able to escape because of the "JUST KILL HIM!" characters. And in the end, Jessica did say, or at least I interpreted it as such, that she felt like a villain for killing Kilgrave. Also
>tfw finale doesnt end with jessica donning her jewel costume
>tfw daredevil doesnt show up to fight off a mind controlled mob
Oh, and I really loved the fact that while Jessica has these amazing abilities, they weren't really important, like, she relied on her detective skills to defeat Kilgrave instead. Like, here's Jessica, a character with super strength, but her enemy is a character whose powers are mind based, forcing Jessica to have to use her mind to defeat him.
