Logan Legacy was about the most notable people in Wolverines live and past dealing with his death. Laura's part in particular was making peace with the loss of him and being the one person linked to him that isn't kind of shit in some way. She also has a pretty good relationship with Daken now.
Wolverine's is the same group of people (Laura, Mystique, Sabertooth, Lady Deathstrike) dealing with some kind of Weapon X/Mr Sinister related plot. It ended as a lead in to Secret Wars, with a plot where Mystique had successfully stolen the healing factors from all the other characters at the behest of a plan a dead lover had left her, which she thinks would restore him to live.
It turned out the plan was to use their combined healing powers to change a certain point in space-time in a way that could possibly have averted Secret Wars... by bringing Logan back to life. Mystique, out of spite, chooses to let existence end rather than allow Logan to live again.
