Then media started changing thanks to the internet and the newest generation's inability to care about things that weren't overly sexual or emotional or as stupid as the funny internet videos people kept emailing each other.
More and more reality-like TV shows, shows that had nothing to do with the channel they were on, started popping up and cartoons followed suit
Disney stopped making as many cartoons, cartoon network started CN real, Nick produced 3 movies, 2 shows, and guest appearance on iCarly about Fred (the annoying youtuber)
Stuff like that started failing so when stations had a program that worked, they stuck to it.
We're only now just getting out of the cartoon ghetto that deprived us of anything interesting on TV
