I can attest that his toys were awesome. Well, one of them. I never expected much from the Clone Wars line, but I'll be damned if that last Cad Bane figure isn't one of the best 3.75 inch Star Wars figures ever made.

Boba's getting a movie, and we can assume Bossk, Dengar and the rest of the Episode V hunters will at least appear.

The minor bounty hunters from TCW (Disk hat, boa strangler, etc.) would just strangle character growth in rebels.

Cad bane and aurra sing I could see appearing, though.

Yeah, it's a great figure and I love that it's not overtly "animated" looking. Love the TCW animation but for the toys they look a bit better when they're more rounded and detailed IMO. And the accessories are top rate.

The "realistic" Ahsoka and TCW Anakin/Obi from the vintage series are aces to go with him

The first half of season 3 is the ghost crew split up and separated trying to find their ways back to each other, each episode focusing on a different character.

Even more emotional is if the context is that some of the characters believe everyone else is dead, kinda like in Season 4 of The Walking Dead.

I think I found a workaround. Last time I checked 15 minutes into the new episode airing, DisneyXD already had it up on their site. If they do upload the episode has soon as it airs on EST, I'll stream it from there tonight.

Regardless, I'll be streaming a bit today before the episode airs today. If I can't get a source for the episode by the time it airs, I'll still be streaming it once available afterwards.

TLDR: I think I figured it out. Stream will start later.

According to the now non canon but still awesome Darth Plagueius novel, no. Sidious helped but it was his masters idea.

They tried to make a child born of the dark side and fundamentally alter the force to make the dark side stronger, the force said fuck that and made Anakin instead, the chosen one from Jedi prophecy who would destroy the Jedi. Plagueius freared their plans were ruined but Sheev used his powers to deceive and ultimately made the chosen one join him thus keking the force on the grandest possible scale.

A lot of people think it epitomized Dark Horse striving to make Star Wars "adult" by using lots and lots of angst, graphic violence and unlikeable protagonists. Cade was notoriously whiny and brooding even compared to Quinlan Vos (the previous protagonist from the same writer) and his companions were varying degrees of edgy, slutty or both. Darth Talon was obviously created just for the sex appeal and Darth Krayt was the most ridiculously over the top edgy badass ever. Also a lot of the plotlines made very little sense even to people who read it, like the one with Cade's mother.

That's not even going into things like there even being a Sith legacy after ROTJ which was the fault of the novels and DH just ran with it.

Leia was an active participant in the Death Star escape. Garbage chute was her idea, and she held her own shooting at the stormies.

In ROTJ, she infiltrates Jabba's Palace and ALMOST succeeds at saving Han, then shit goes to hell. Even so, Leia escapes on her own as soon as the chaos starts at the Pit of Carkoon. Then she kills Jabba and gets the deck gun set up for the explosion.

She joins the Endor strike team and makes first contact with the Ewoks, and manages to not fuck up: they actually like her. She and 3PO are crucial in setting up that alliance, and then Leia holds her own throughout the actual battle of Endor as well.

Empire's the only one where Leia's useless. She spends the whole movie trying not to let Han know she likes him. I guess she also gets a psychic phone call from Luke too. She's barely even part of the fighting in the Bespin escape and does nothing of note.

Balance is restored to the Force by the death of the Sith because there is no longer any dark side users that exist, their existence is what created the imbalance.

Another idea is that the death of the Sith has started the balancing process in motion, and that although the dark side is not gone YET, they will be down the road.

Perhaps even in death, Vader will contribute to the downfall of the First Order and the Knights of Ren.

The dark side can't just disappear. All it takes is one force sensitive child with a temper and a fucked up childhood to realize he can use his force powers to choke.

The Sith as we know it and as the dominant force in the galaxy may be gone but the dark side can never just disappear.

I like to see bringing balance to the force as setting them both back at neutral.

The Jedi and the "light side" were too big so Anakin had to tear them down and let the dark side reign for a while.

Then he did the same to the dark side.

So now we have both sides starting from ruin. Balance.

She's already a kick ass diplomat and fighter and high up in the rebel alliance by the time we meet her. From what know in the books about Palpatine feeling his power come from outside the galaxy and what they've said about the movie the dark side may be represented by a physical location or entity that acts as a converter of the Force into the dark side.

Destroy it and you longer can access the dark side when you use the Force and will no longer be corrupted and have your mind fucked up for being upset.

Dark side may be "unnatural" depending on what the source is.

In hinsight Vader didn't bring much balance to the force. He was the catalyst to the destruction of the Jedi Order and murdered Sheevmeister but still didn't bring balance. I think the problem is that people see the Dark and Light sides of the Force as a yin-yang thing where each side complements and bleeds into the other.

Lucas on the other hand claims the Dark side is purely an imperfection, in no way essential to existence. The Force being "in balance" means removing the Dark side entirely.

Yes this is stupidly black and white but that's what you get when Lucas writes. See the Yoda arc in S5 of Clone Wars if you want to see it in action.

Also, again, we're probably going to see the end of the dark side in the new movie.

Books deliberately point out that Palpatine was searching for the source of it outside the galaxy and they've officially said we would learn a lot about the dark side in the new films and its real nature. (I'm still trying to find this online again, I keep getting retards talking about how they think Luke will be evil in the new movie holy fuck)

Doesn't everybody know that? That's why the Jedi don't ride out and solve every problem in the galaxy. That's how slavery existed on Tatooine. The Jedi are selfless and try to keep the galaxy in peace but they aren't meant to solve every single problem. That would involve them having to control the galaxy and approve everyone's actions. The Jedi won't stop you from electing a total idiot to power, but they will step in if that total idiot wants to invade neighboring worlds and threatens the overall stability of the galaxy.

It's like the anons that keep saying that Luke was the truest Jedi ever because he refused to fight. In last weeks episode Kanan and Rex's routine was hilarious. Kanan quips that it takes more discipline not to fight. Rex responds with the amused question of whether that means politely asking the Empire to stop it's evil shit.

That was ultimately the nature of Palpatine's trap. He set up a situation where the Jedi felt compelled to act. They were damned if they did and damned if they didn't. They couldn't sit back and let a Sith Lord like Dooku rise to power, but fighting caused many Jedi to lose their way and helped Palpatine exterminate them.

Plus I always hated the notion that Luke was a "real Jedi' by not fighting considering it basically forced his dad to beat up the bully for him. The net result was hardly pacifist, except from a very narrow point of view. But it's not like Star Wars doesn't love those.

The first thing he tries to do is fucking behead Sheev.

And earlier he tried blasting a hole in Jabba's domepiece and choked out two Gamorreans.

The big deal there was that he refused to strike down Vader in anger and still believed there was good in him.

It wasn't a "I'M A GOOD GUY AND WE DON'T KILL!" it was a "I refuse to do what you want me to do. You have failed."

That's why Luke is a badass. Because he did what Anakin never could in standing up to Palpatine.

You have to remember that Luke was STILL struggling with his own inner darkness. The same thing the cave tried to show him on Dagobah. Luke was trying his best to be a true Jedi but it was still in him. It will ALWAYS be in him, something Yoda learned about his darker side in the last clone wars arc in season 6.

When Luke finally defeated Vader (some people say because Vader wasn't really trying, which is possible) he was using his anger. It's when he sees Vader's robotic stump and then looks at his own cybernetic hand that he realizes just how easily he could become his father. That's when Luke steps back and rejects the Dark Side, a move I'm sure Ben would be proud of given he had a similar test when Maul murdered Satine.

That said the bit with Luke being electrocuted, I have the feeling later on Luke had a "moment" with Yoda's Force Ghost about how, "You said no more training do i require! HE WAS THROWING FUCKING LIGHTNING FROM HIS FINGERS! HE LIGHTNINGED ME IN THE JUNK!" And then it's at this point Luke decides to start his own Jedi Order and teach them to throw grenades at people.

Did Yoda or Obi-Wan even tell Luke about Force Lightning? I somehow doubt he'd ever seen it or even heard about it before. Several Jedi (and Ventress) learned to block that shit with their swords, Yoda could do it with his bare hands. Luke seemed more like he was about to scream "hax"

Luke basically killed with the Force because guys were threatening him. And some trees. Like Yoda told him the Jedi use the Force for defense, never attack. The fact that he was just using the Force to relocate some grenades and it was the grenades that did the actual violence is a pretty fine line. Or another fun Point of View moment.

But that said other anons pointed out how Yoda and Obi-Wan were fine carving their way through clones to get into the Temple.

Also the original story was that Kenobi and Anakin dueled Darth Vader at a volcano and in the fight Anakin and Darth both fall into the volcano and only Darth comes out of it and then the emperor shows up...and Kenobi runs like a bitch.

Defense means anything involving that, if people are trying to kill you it's fine to defend yourself and others to kill them which becomes fighting. They were outright called warriors in the OT.

Yoda says aggression is the thing to avoid, you don't want to instigate things. Luke CONSTANTLY tries to avoid killing Jabba but makes it clear he will die if he doesn't cooperate.

Let's use some logic here, Luke and Ezra had NO IDEA how to wield a lightsaber when they were first starting out despite both being force sensitive.

What HAS been shown that the Force gives people a little help now and again which might help them survive life and death situations (Luke vs. Jango, Ezra avoiding TIE Fighter lasers). Now, what does this suggest about the confrontation Finn and Kylo have? Finn most certainly has no training with a saber going by his history as a lowly Storm Trooper and his reaction to Kylo approaching him.

So how is he not immediately killed by a skilled force user like Kylo (going by Starwars.com's description of Kylo). The only way he can survive, without any sort of training, is with a little help from the Force.

The Jedi are meant to be peace keepers but if push comes to shove, they will defend themselves and others as necessary. The primarily use the Force for knowledge and defense. Like Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. They were attacked and defended themselves.

The actual act of telekinesis wasn't too impressive so it does suggest that she's gaping at the level of destruction Luke just threw back at the Imperials.

Curiously at the time the issue came out the discussion did venture into the notion that Luke may have gone Dark Side (the whole Luke is really Kylo Ren theory that pisses some anons off) to perhaps lending support to the rumors that Luke goes into exile because he's afraid of his own growing powers and what he is capable of. Oh and one total batshit theory that the two trees he found, one was Light Side and the other was Dark and Luke took the Dark Side one.
