.Honestly I think they're going to make them more like the cartoon X-Men use we are instead of how the X-Men are behaving now. you know be sympathetic individual to how about the Innocence not-Mutants and I think in the Fox X-Men films nobody had an issue with Deadpool hanging out with mutants and non mutants in his movies.

Kind of hard to mix up the cast because people are still going to demand Beast, Nightcrawler, Storm, Cyclops, etc. Their best bet is not overloading the team/cameos in favor of a focused narrative

I hope they realize not using the "X-Men" name is going to cost them millions in missed branding, compounded by the fact it was never interpreted as "men who are X" but rather "variable-men" where the variable could be "wo-men" or "foot-men" or "wing-men" or "se-men"

O5 and Giant Size team to start with. A TV show would probably be best to start off. Savage Land could be fun.

Mutants are in a strange place in the MCU. Most superheroes are liked, especially after the Snap was undone. I can't see how mutants would be hated this late in the game when they could be no different from the other heroes running around (aside from the tech-based ones of course). A terrorist attack or two from Magneto would make the public hate mutants, but he would need a reason to do so in the first place. Not to mention there'd be the question of why other heroes don't get involved. We saw Falcon and Bucky get involved with a lesser threat.

Reposting a bare bones idea I had for a trilogy a little while ago. Essentially, you can use the real life evolution of the X-Men comic as a basic structure for three movies
>Film 1: start small and use the 60s lineup so you can develop a core cast of characters as teens/young adults, use the Sentinels as antagonists to explain mutant hatred as a paranoid propaganda fuelled by the military industrial complex of Trask/Senator Kelly. At the end of the film Xavier decides to expand the team and start looking for international mutants, maybe tease Wolverine in a credits scene if you want also the Sentinels should be the classic purple chunky Kirby Sentinels and not some streamlined bullshit like Fox did
>Film 2: base the team off the 80s/90s Claremont era, introduce Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, et al but make sure the original core members aren't completely sidelined. ESPECIALLY don't let Wolverine suddenly hog the limelight. Villain can be whoever. Maybe one of the original 6 or Xavier could die at the end not Jean because we really don't need more Dark Phoenix bullshit to give stakes
>Film 3: enter the modern era, the X-Men now a fully fledged organisation and a professional boarding school. Maybe introduce Gambit, Psylocke and others don't bloat the cast too much. Original members should be fully adult by now, with Cyclops as leader. One of the big guys as villain, provided there's been sufficient build up

I think the issue the MCU X-Men will face is that there's a lot of plot points, character beats, and villains that the Fox movies have already done, but at the same time a lot of these are iconic like Wolverine or the Magneto-Xavier relationship and they'll be expected. In some cases they've got a chance to do things better and more accurately than before but then they'll be treading old ground. They've also gotta make mutant hatred believable in a universe already full of supers, hence the Sentinels in the 1st one
