In DC, the second someone halfway weird shows up organized crime just starts shitting their pants and running around impotently going "Oh GOD, he has half his face burned! there's NO WAY we can compete with that!" and just fold like they're nothing.

Then in Marvel people with 100% legit super powers and high tech weapons show up and the mob goes "Oh, that's cool. Hey, frank, order some Rocket launchers so we can deal with the guy with invulnerable skin, and see if we can't hire some mutants of our own" and then goes about business like usual.

Its crazy how utterly neutered organized crime behaves in the DC universe compared to the Marvel universe.
