>>130202521It doesn't even have to be a rivalry thing, they could just be an alien response unit that works across the country that gets the attention of the retired Plumbers, leading to them becoming the offical earth task force for handling aliens while the Plumbers get their strength back.
It doesn't stop with Steel, they could have used Kraab (a cybernetically enhanced bountry hunter voiced by Billy West) as another reoccurring bad guy, though i guess i should be happy they didn't kill him off in Alien Force, the Galactic Enforcers as space allies, helping against the Highbreed and Incursean invasions, maybe have Phil escape the Null Void on occasion to remind people he exists. So much potential.
