It's good, not the best but it has a lot going for it. MJ being shit and miles being in it hurt it, but most of the other characters are good. Though I wasn't the biggest fan of ock, I suppose I did like his descent into villainy but he seemed really pathetic. Though I did like Norman and harry and I hope they do both characters justice. But since miles is in there I won't be dumping the money to buy a PS5 for it

Spectacular is a better adaptation and honestly the N64 game is also better. Spider-man 2 the game is ONLY better because of the swinging. I admit the PS4 is superior in everything else though. But honestly miles being in the game just means I'll never play the next game, which is a shame. They're definitely building up to doing Superior Spider-Man in the games. They set up that Doc Ock has the degenerative condition and they've given Peter the robot arms, so it'll most likely be as the cliffhanger to the second one. I see it as going something like this:
>Peter and Miles are overwhelmed by Venom, Kraven, and maybe even Norman as the Goblin
>Peter gets taken over by the symbiote, out of desperation Miles breaks into the Raft and goes to an imprisoned and dying Ock for help
>Ock devises something to get the symbiote off Peter/kill it completely and Miles takes it, not knowing any wiser

There's a whole game being devoted to Kraven and Venom, and they still haven't even done Green Goblin yet. Hell Goblin is very likely the 3rd game. The 3 Spiders team never happen in the main 616 universe. It only exist in cartoons for toddler and their tie in comics.

Peter and Miles are co-workers and he don't care about him personally.

Peter is considered about Gwen universe hopping but at least try to help her. Gwen is in a relationship with Mary Jane btw.

Miles had a universe hopping acid trip with Gwen. The adventure ended with a kiss and they never talk to each other after this.

Overall it's out of character for Peter to be upset by his hero name. He even let doc ock call himself Spider-Man because he promised to do good.

Don't know about the other guy, but I also thought they might be building up to Superior with Ock's body failing him. But that would be weird if we had two edgy Spider-Man stuff in a row with Symbiote getting on Peter, and later Ock taking his body. Kinda burned out on Spider-Man right now. I like the MCU Spidey trilogy and before that have reread the first 100 issues of Spider-Man. I'm kinda pissed Peter has to share screentime with other shitters who think they need to be Spider-Man though. A thing I liked about the MCU Spider-Man films and the early comics are how they keep the focus on him despite having a huge cast. Ps4 game didn't flash me really. The ending was good but the rest of the game is one tedius fetch quest after another where you have to search for some quality writing sadly. Will probably go back to Spider-Man once the fourth movie is coming out. Not interested in these gimmicky multiverse projects Sony has planned. They were already pushing it for me with No Way Home.

There's a line between Peter being smart and using gadgets and Slott Spider-man where he's just a weird ass not quite Iron-man / Batman hybrid. The Spider-man ps4 game got close to that line a few times but it's not bad enough to shit on it.

I don't get it either. I dislike a lot of what it did just on principle, but it managed to pull everything off so well. The pacing is what ties it all together, especially in a film that scale
