In the first one she's just kinda there as the object of Peter's affections. There's only a slight love triangle between them and Harry and it all comes across more so as 18 year olds trying to figure out their lives than anything else
In the next two, MJ becomes way more central to the story and does a whole bunch of immature, bitchy shit. They also put her in both of the climaxes so you have to deal with her screaming throughout the whole final fight
