I haven't watched that cartoon specifically, but those horny kid Spirou gag comics are entirely different from normal Spirou comics. Comics with adult Spirou resemble Tintin. The main characters are journalists who get into action/adventure stories, and it's all rather chaste (aside from some of the more recent stories, which address adult themes a bit more).
