>>128972251I like the Tim and Steph romance stuff in Jon Lewis's run, but the plotting is TOO WEIRD.
Speaking of too weird...
>>128972662>>128972775I mean, after Lewis, you had Willingham, who was...fine, but much shallower, and clearly writing too edgy for the age range of the book. Then Steph was ded, then she was back with Dixon who clearly wanted to get Tim and Steph back together, but was setting up for like a three year arc with that, and they cut him off after half a year (go pound rocks, Didio), and then FabNic wrote Steph as "incompetent bad girl who is bad for Tim but he cares about her because he is noble and shit". Then BQM kept Tim and Steph apart so that Steph could have a solo without it becoming too focused on a boy character (a solid choice, in my opinion). then...all of n52 they were barely acquainted (though they did think each other was cute). Then BAM Tynion writes them in love, living together, and probably sleeping together. Then Tim is ded. Then Bendis gets Tim. Then Tim is Bi and broken up with Steph.
I like how Tynion wrote them, and Bendis wrote them, but both of them maybe had 3-4 issues where the romance was any kind of focus.
>>128972775Steph and Az interact in Tynion's Tec, TOCA!
>>128972819Well, she's popped up all over the Batbooks, from Infinite Frontier, to Joker, to Batman, to Nightwing, to Urban Legends, to Detective Comics - but the big thing is Batgirls.
>>128972976Why would that be bad, though?
>>128973489That's really cute! And yeah, I don't know why DC doesn't give us a Steph graphic novel to match Cass's great one.
>>128974159Marcus To Robin Steph is so pretty!
I would say Steph has generally had some insecurity problems as a consistent character trait before, though she does like to put up a bold front.
>>128975364This is one of the coolest concepts. I still love it.
>>128976276Though Helena is a good teacher. So it wouldn't be totally unique.
