It starts with her trying to spy on them while talking about her (inaccurate) observations in a tape recorder. Even though she's studied kids for years she doesn't even like kids. The kids notice her, feel sorry for her and invite her in and let her film them playing. She thanks them but doesn't let them see the film so they sneak in to her office and watch it to find out she's making them out to be savage little monsters and is arguing for getting rid of recces.
They re-edit the movie and when she shows if off to the Dean and Superintendent, they've provided their own commentary which is more fair and balances. She thinks she's going to be expelled but the dean loves it and she gets a grant.
It's actually a really good example of how fake news really happens.
