>>127918245Yes, I mentioned "this character had more to give but got lost in the shuffle". Those are examples of that. My point is those are different from characters who got written out intentionally, AND from what STC does with writing characters out to replace them with stuff from other canons.
Characters written out because the writers thought that was the right place to write them out- Good intention at the very least, often the right choice. Leaving when the going's good.
Characters written out on accident simply because they got lost in the shuffle, forgotten to be brought back, or impossible to be brought back because of reprints- Bad, lamentable, waste of space, but also accidental.
Characters written out because the author wants to replace them with characters from other works because the crossover is the priority- stings harder than both above, because it makes the characters utterly disposable.
I'm just trying to tell you these are three different categories.
>>127918268People have been mocking TMNT stuff and Sonic X stuff and game stuff being here too. The complaint isn't "damn Archie stuff is here", it's "damn author is treating this like Archie and making the mashup a priority over just continuing the tone and story of the original". Archie, especially under Ian, prided itself in being a comic mashing together everything Sonic it could, and that's what this comic is doing, hence the comparison. Stop being so kneejerk-defensive.
