>>127884258I think if the person who was put in prison and had all those things happen to them had the opposite characteristics to Vi then I would obviously expect them to come out drastically changed.
The problem is, Vi's personality/strengths/characteristics would ONLY be reinforced/increased in prison.
So when people say "Why wasn't Vi completely changed by prison" it makes so little sense. She was already the type of person that fits in there. She ran the place and had guards/prisoners afraid of her in fact.
As for the trauma/guilt/isntability etc etc...
As I said, she's had no time whatsoever to decompress after prison. She's been non-stop action from the moment she got out trying to find her sister, in fact in the one moment she's not actively doing this, we DO see her let her guard down a bit and show her vulnerabilities to Cait on the bed. So to say that she's not showing any signs of having "changed" when she's not had a chance to yet is a bit reductive.
I guarantee that next season, now that Jinx has fired the rocket and Vi/Cait and Vi will have a moment where she isn't just instantly trying to chase Jinx down again, she WILL have a chance to show how much prison affected her and broke her. She WILL break down, it's just that she's been bottling it up so far.
