Unironically, I grew up not only watching reruns of Tom & Jerry, Dexter, Powerpuff Girls and Courage but also new episodes of EEnE, B&M, KND, Foster's, Ben 10, Chowder, Flapjack and Batman: BATB on CN.

Nick premiered in 2002 in my country, so I watched early episodes of Hey Arnold, CatDog and SpongeBob as if they were new along with Fairly OddParents, Invader Zim, MLAATR, Danny Phantom, Avatar and El Tigre.

As a millennial I didn't envy the post-Flapjack noodle armed lolrandumb shows zoomers started with.
But I also didn't want to wish upon them the '00s mess of cheap 3D, frequent cancellations and perpetual reruns of Avatar or Star Wars because the studios can't make new episodes immediately and CN/Nick didn't want to pay for other cartoons.

Grim went to shit I'm not sure where but pre/post art style is like the Dexter's Lab transition. It forgot what it was and became a mishmash of "Story matters", "lol what story?" and "Fredfredburger/Remember Blackula?"

I honestly don't mind the later episodes of Billy and Mandy. While the early ones feel more like a traditional Hanna-Barbera-like cartoon, the later seasons feel almost like a clean version of 2000s Internet cartoons, which I find charming.

Gen X is generally defined as 1965 to 1980. They mostly consumed late 60s to early 90s stuff though they also watched a lot more reruns of old Looney Tunes, Tex Avery, Disney, etc on network television. I wonder how many zoomers have ever watched one of the banned WWII cartoons that used to run all of the time back then.

Adventure Time and Regular Show were both part of a conscious attempt by Cartoon Network to reach an older audience. I think both were always had an audience that skewed older than Spongebob or Billy & Mandy, especially later in their runs when you had to actively track down episodes just to watch them. I think there's a ton of overlap in the audience to all four shows, which were all aimed at young millennials/old zoomers.

Spongebob has now been running for well over a generation all by itself.

Spongebob is like the modern Looney Tunes. Even though Looney Tunes was technically a silent generation show, baby boomers and Gen Xers also had it as a major part of their childhoods. Likewise, Spongebob is a millennial show that zoomers and even Gen Alpha also had as a major part of their childhoods.
