I like it but what why did it go from monster of the week to story driven, and LD she was a teenage or adult, what was the backstory did they create an ip after the show like comic to give more info

The point was to give Wander an enemy that he can't just befriend and end the conflict with...which was then wasted because it was heavily implied that he was right all along and Dom is just lonely and taking it out on others. After an ending like that, I'm not shocked they didn't get a third season. Things were getting very repetitive.
