>>127486974Honestly I personally don't think so; because I don't feel like the original needed a sequel. It stood on its own merits and the ending was a logical conclusion to the story. I don't feel like a great movie always needs a sequel personally.
I liked the first a great deal, but I'd rather be left wanting more than given something that is unlikely to live up to the high bar set by the original and be disappointed. But none of my opinions really will change that they're making a sequel anyway really.
That said, it might be even worse if the sequel does great as well because then they'll have established a series, and a series that has done well WILL be milked into the ground.
