The one I went to was pretty chill, but I was mostly there for MtG drafts and prereleases.
They had a guy who ran some games, but he disappeared for a few weeks the week after me and a friend tried to get in on their games.
Turns out he had some serious surgery. Dude was an old vet with both legs gone below the knee.
The games in specific are mostly an excuse to get around a table and bullshit for a few hours. The actual mood of the game is going to vary wildly depending on the folks assembled and the person running it.
Myself, I tend to let my players run wild with intercharacter roleplay, while when one of the others runs it, he's a bit more combat oriented. The rest of my group that cycles into the chair tend to be somewhere between with their own specialities.
But, at the end, its a group that could probably play any given game and get a good time out of it.
given our youtube views, dunno how good it is for outside observers, but eh.But that's the end goal. Good luck finding folks you mesh well with. Hopefully the folks you enjoy playing with will also be consistent.
