>>126664346The story off the girls is friendship, platonic in majority of Matt's eyes(plus I don't think he intends to ship any of them due to a dislike of shipwars), S1 had Toadie as a gay rep, S1 also has braddock and her bf as the straight ship over there, having Yunan and Olivia go for the gay rep as newts is in the land of 3s that Matt likes. Then there's Yunan's VA as a possible reason since when she did Amara that character was Bi but occasionally did hit on the main villain Tyreen, so maybe they asked for her input and she suggested(far more unlikely but her DZ shoutout isn't impossible to reason)
But more important: Matt is bad at writing romance in general, having him use two characters that he underused and giving them a reason to not out right be in different areas while also satisfyingly the 3 trees of inclusive is several birds and one bolder to the guy.
TL;DR: It's easier and safer than other options Hell it might have some how been a crew vote since all of them like it for some reason.
