Im rewatching this and its alot better than i remember (Im on episde 4 season 1 so hold your horses when it comes to spoilers pwease)

Season 1 is unironically kino, it was a really really great season with a great villain and a great twist. It felt pretty fresh at the time too
Season 2 falls off but its still watchable, boring twist tho, made the villain be less menacing than he originally was
season 3 onwards is garbage, only thing that gets better is the suit

Alrighty so season 1 + 2 it is. After that im not even gonna bother watching, because Im the kind of person who drops a show if its not good enough and i dont want this gem to leave a bad taste. Season 1 is extremely good tho its kind of crazy to think they managed to fuck it up

I mean, it is a CW show, so that was bound to happen, but we'd just come out of a very strong season with Flash S01 and Arrow s02, and since arrow s02 was straight up probably the best season in the show, it should've been a huge sign when Flash s02 hit and it started strong but fell of pretty badly.
CW writers don't get what makes the good seasons good, basically, so they just shit on the script with recycled ideas and dumbass fucking writing. You'll see the recycled idea thing in S02 of flash already, but the latter ones, really, they're not worth it.
Season 1 is fucking kino tho, that scene when Barry first runs after the Reverse Flash to the stadium was a GREAT intro to the villain, and they work him into the story is such a fucking good way, it's so sad Flash went from that to what we have now

Arrow is weird, S01 is good, S02 is incredible, and S05 is pretty good too. S02 and s05 have great villains with great keikakus, but in s05 they kinda forgot about vigilante in the middle of the season which is kinda meh
I don't know hoe the latter ones go, but i'd watch 1 and 2, see a summary of 3 and 4, then watch season 5 and decide from there
Season 3 and 4 are really really bad

It's even worse when you remember first season set up Barry to become a genius inventor hero but somewhere in the way his development starts to falter and seven years later he's still uncapable of doing anything useful other than being fast and his basic CSI training

Just completely rewrite Season 2 and 3 desu.

Zoloman would be from Earth 1 and more accurate to his comic self, taking on the identity of Zoom/Reverse Flash to fuck with Barry, and The Rival would be his Doppelganger from Earth 2 and they team up which cause Jay and Barry to team up. No big mystery really.

Season 3 needs a total new direction than what we got. Grodd could be the main villain for all I care, or just make it a "Revenge of The Rogues" season featuring some guys masquerading as the new Captain Cold and Heatwave. Anything but the Savitar/evil Barry plot.

The writing was on the wall in the season 2 finale, they make it a big deal that Barry accepted what happened to his mom then suddenly decides to pull a Flashpoint because that's the only Flash story the general audience knows.
