on the contrary, every cartoon is way too lore focused and its done in a way that almost makes you not wanna care anymore

speaking of which, anyone notice how cartoons nowadays try and make way more sense? and be way more realistic? yeah yeah theres magic and all that, but they care way too much about things being 'reasonable' it feels boring
every cartoon is way more down to earth, less fun and whacky, and even its magic system feels cucked

Modern cartoonists have all had their brains fried by anime and pornography so they cannot think of any lore except "Rip off Jap cartoon" or "A billion years ago everyone was gay"
There are no Tolkien or Burroughs readers in the industry, much less anyone with the talent of Tolkien himself. Making an original, cohesive story with the lore being the story itself and the show being a slice of that story brought to life is an impossible task for them.

And that's something you can blame on the animated adult sitcoms. There are policies in place on most them to limit animation outside of special moments so that the animation doesn't distract from the written jokes. Than then has bleed through to the rest of the industry in one way or another.
