Anyone else a fan of these movies? I really like them but I wish they focused more on world building the amazing prehistoric setting and less on the comedy aspect.

The first movie was interesting up until the mystical bullshit got to be right. Not saying that it would be fine for them to be skittish forever, but there was a perfect moment for rational thought to prevail, and it was destroyed by empty whimsy.

The second one feels closer to the Netflix show than to the first movie. Things have a bit more goofiness right off the bat and it just increases as things go.

Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the DON'T EAT THE BANANAS BUT I CAN'T SAY WHY THEY'RE IMPORTANT stuff or Grug's obsession with having them since Guy offered him one in the first show. Gran's pet Wigasus felt a little odd, too, due to her questioning the existence of Belt previously.

i like them a lot. the frst was a nice surprise and the second kept the same level, i think, both for the jokes and foreshadowing
the first part it's also a good example of how a movie can change depending on if you remove the last 5 minutes or not
