>>125774091Thing is, Rigby was a collosal cunt to begin with, giving Mordy a sort of attitude of "At least I'm more adjusted than Rigby, so I don't have to better myself" which really comes back to bite him later when he realizes that Rigby actually grew as a character, being seen as the screw-up and failure, he bettered himself for himself and didn't flaunt it to anyone.
One of my favourite scenes in the show is the reveal of this as Mordy is crying about how hard life is and Rigby reveals that not only has he been going steady with Eileen for the last few months. Rigby surpassed Mordacai as a productive member of society and didn't rub it in anyones face. Still acts like a goofball, but that's because he is content with exactly who he is. Mordecai comes to the realisation that their dynamic has flipped where he's the screw-up and Rigby is the straight-man. I don't think I've seen this ever done so straight faced like this before, beyond 1 episode "What if we swapped the dynamic for this episode, then go back to the status quo at the end"
