>>125715649>after a bit of stuttering she asks me: "do... you want to be my boyfriend?"Similar thing happened to me in high school. I had a friend who I used to talk to a lot in middle school. We'd make lots of jokes and I noticed after a while I made her laugh a lot and feel very happy in particular. She finally worked up the courage to ask me out (and got like two of her friends to tell me too) but I was too much of a coward to reciprocate the feelings. She ended up with a guy I knew, who was a cool guy, and they dated the rest of high school.
Honestly, in retrospect, I wasn't mature enough for it and I'm glad she ended up with someone nice. My self-esteem was incredibly low then and that's never a good thing going into a first relationship. However, I sometimes look back and regret the decision mostly since having a gf would've been nice and I feel bad that I turned down a very sweet girl.
