And those people were story editors in ALL the episodes. I'll concede that blaming the women is sexist as fuck but the fact is that they were obviously diversity hires put into the room by Harmon based on their gender over their ability to fucking write well. And I agree with you that all the shitty male writers brought in recently are garbage too.
I agree that the focus should remain on the fact that the writing has gone to shit and Roiland not being committed as much is problematic. That being said Solar Opposites isn't that great.
I'm sure a lot of people here are only watching this show to have something to get angry about with a morbid curiosity at how evident that something that used to be good turned bad. Like validating a scientific hypothesis over and over. Or just knowing what's going on so we can go out and argue with other people about why the show is bad. And to be clear, the reason why the show has gone to shit is because they've brought in fucking writers who basically take a domestic household sitcom script involving stupid shitty sitcom problems like "teenagers growing up" and replace key words with science-mineral or worblegarblesnarf.
And yunno what, the show is basically Big Bang Theory in cartoon form. It's written by hipster fucks who have a stereotypical understanding of "nerd" subjects that are based on fucking media from the fucking 80s. Alright, these are people who probably haven't watched Evangalion or Gundam or Gurren Lagann and I haven't either but I know if we're going to talk about mecha Voltron is so irrelevant that it doesn't belong in the conversation. These are people who couldn't name two Robins, describe a single Star Trek TNG episode, or describe a magic system more complex than fucking Harry Potter.
