>>125505340>It’s just a drill. It goes forward and spins. It also was clunky and easy to dismantle. It's much larger than any drill we've ever built even with modern tech, let alone what we had at the same general technology level the Fire Nation was at. And it had a complex piston propulsion system. It was only "easy to dismantle" because the characters snuck in and managed to figure out how to damage it structurally and had the right mix of benders to accomplish said plan.
> A giant walking mecha taller than the mountains made in like a week was a bit too much to acceptIt is 25 stories tall, not as tall as you're making it out to be.
>inb4 the deliberately exaggerated shot that doesn't match with the rest of the shots we have of the mech because it's purposefully exaggeratedAlso, it was several weeks, probably even a month, to build the mech which would be aided by metalbending(as the interior wasn't platinum, just the exterior). The Fire Nation built the drill in a matter of like 2 months at most and it's about the same size as the mech if not slightly bigger in terms of length
>>125505459The only reason the drill failed was because Sokka, Katara, Toph, and Aang snuck in, figured out a way to weaken it structurally, and just happened to be the perfect mix of benders to do so. If they hadn't been there it would have succeeded with literally no issue. The Ba Sing Se military were powerless to stop it breaching the wall.
