She-Ra ending

Does anyone else find the message of this ending kinda stupid and selfish? The writers stated they wanted to "subvert" the hero trope, and they did it with Adora. But they spend the whole ending making her feel bad for trying to sacrifice herself to save the world, which would be bad if she had other choice, but she doesn't. She is doing it because there's no other choice but that, and the writers treat it as if she's doing something bad when Adora is doing exactly what every hero ever, Superman, Spiderman, Batman, etc, would do. Even Catra treats her like shit for it.

I'm tired of this subvertion trope shit that acts as if doing something good for others and being a hero is wrong in anyway.
