I do believe the character was done dirty by Marvel pushing her to be involved in events and team shit. Taking her right out of her sympathetic neighborhood superhero setting.
Now she is an Avenger, leader of an international superhero team, and future president.

They blew it by making her too big.

This. If marvel wanted to push her, they should have taken the road of spider-man. Early team ups, new application of powers, slowly getting stronger, making it a holy shit moment the few times she gets to work with an avenger, a solo act, etc.

Also it seems her supporting cast got blown out to make her fit the marvel role.

There’s no “comic book stores” anymore. The comic book stores that still exist are now de facto Funko Pop/Japanese import toy stores. Libraries have replaced comic stores in the comics business model, which is why wokeshit is now de rigeur.

There's a valid reason Spiderman doesn't stay in a Superhero Team for long but has been in many. He needs a supporting cast of normal people for the Peter Parker side. They took that from Kamala.

This It's the main reason why I tend to only her solo book series or limited series .I love Kamala Khan but the only team I've ever read with her on the team has been secret Warriors the Inhumans one and I was going to read it with or without her . Honestly I still have the 3 volume in magnificent Ms Marvel to get at the moment. I have a lot of stuff on backorder like anime DVDs to get on my list and older manga and Comics vol.

Wilson slacked on rogues and scaled back her powers. She did good with the supporting cast, maybe even too good because people complained Aamir, Nakia and zoe were getting more development than Kamala in the later arcs.
