I've been seeing a lot of characters in cartoons right now that are designed to look like a man, but are supposed to be female. Does anyone else think this undermines the point of them being a female character if you're just designing men, but giving them a woman's voice?

There's been a lot of push lately about how cartoonists don't give characters proper "black features", so they've been trying to design them to be more "accurate" with hair styles, lips, etc. But why is the same not happening for female characters, when there is absolutely physical differences between how men and women look?

I'm sure this thread will quickly devolve into shitposting, but hope I can get at least three good responses out of it before it does.
