>>124674386Make it ALL Teela's fault, and make every character acutely aware of that fact. Skeletor rules everything, and it all happened explicitly because of Teela's insane, rash, idiotic self-importance. Make Teela so ashamed she can't even stand to continue living. Rub her nose in the pile of shit she's made, and utterly humiliate her. In the first part, she "knew" that she was more special and deserving than anyone else, and that superiority complex caused the death of Orko and has now resulted in Adam, her friend and the man she was sworn to protect, on the verge of death for a second time.
She is not special. She is not worthy. If she ever was, she has thrown that privileged status by her utter failure. And she has to admit it, faced with her crushing, disastrous consequences.
But then, when she is at her lowest, make her finally understand: Adam was NEVER worthy of the Power of Greyskull. It wasn't about worthiness. It was about humility, and his understanding that for the sake of others, he needed to accept the responsibility he was given, even if he did not "deserve" it. His selflessness, and his humble heart were what gave him the right to hold aloft that sword. And now that Teela has been brought low, and learned that same lesson, she has been given that same responsibility. It's up to her to take the Sword back from Skeletor, and restore things to the way they were meant to be. Not because she can, and is strong enough - she isn't - but because it is her responsibility. She has the power.
