we've seen Belos cast magic without an apparent staff, so maybe he fused his own body with one of those glowing red orbs
also wouldn't wands or enchanted clothing/accessories be an option?
then there is ritual magic, spell casting (with words) and like runes
also: when the BI's glyph use takes their power from the place itself, are there other islands(titans?) which use different methods?
