>>124449836The Eds are a metaphor for life. They're so focused on short term gains (quarters, jawbreakers) that they'll take the long and difficult path that necessitates others getting hurt (scams). The biggest joke of the show is that they're clever, smart, and abled enough to make brilliant contraptions that would earn them the admiration of their peers, but they constantly self-sabotage due to Eddy needing to feel like he got a one-up on everyone else and their fixation on getting the money as quick as possible.
This is the way life works for many people.
A woman dates jerks because she wants love, believes she can fix him, but self-sabotages by intentionally going after bad guys. She'd probably find love by dating a more normal guy, and the jerk would either fix himself or self-destruct without her.
An incel fakes his personality and treats women like dirt because he wants sex, but self-sabotages by being creepy and disrespectful. He's probably get sex if he wasn't so focused on sex.
Creators spend so much time advertising and branding that they neglect to make good products which would make them more remembered.
People spend so much time working so that they don't have to work, they don't realize that they don't need a million dollars to sit around and do nothing.
The lesson to be learned from Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy is to do what you want and what you're good at, and let the rewards come naturally to you.
>tl;dr, high as balls, thinking that jawbreakers had a rough texture which they don't in real life.
