Finally finished it all. I thought the revival seasons would be abysmal but there were alot of episodes i really liked!

Futurama in general is overrated. That horrible romance with Fry and Leela is a mountain of shit. And I mean in the first run of the show. The later movies and seasons only made that flaw worse. Fry becomes unlikable when the Leela romance happens and Leela has always been an unlikable cunt.

This. The show was at its best when Fry was just a slightly dim and lazy everyman and Leela was the take-no-shit, mother of the group. When the idea of them being a couple came about, it didn't work because the writers can't do romance. They can only write the loser simping for the hot chick because that's what they can relate to. So Fry became a pathetic borderline retard and Leela became a sadsack, "oh why are there no nice guys in this world?" type. It's no wonder the show became the Bender and Zoidberg show in the CC seasons because Fry and Leela were barely even characters. I had to remind myself that Bender is supposed to be Fry's best friend because they barely interact when Leela's around.

Every now and again I'll remember a funny joke or a an episode I love and I'll think "oh yeah, that's a revival episode". I definitely think people are too harsh on the comedy central seasons, though there is a noticeable downgrade.

the post-revival seasons were honestly a pretty big step down but a lot of it was still at least alright.
The weakest parts about it were that the writers were both trying too hard to do romance with fry and leela and never made their goddamn minds up and how they kept trying to have their own 'heavy drama/sad' episode like the dog or the clover ones from the original seasons.

there were more really god awful episodes than I'm comfortable with, quite a few mediocre ones and some really good ones peppered in every now and then. On the whole, I suppose the revival is worth a watch but don't get your hopes up.

The "Movies" were generally bad but I didn't hate the revival series as much as I expected. Some of it was pretty good.
I dont know if the network told them to get "edgy" or not (for the family guy audience) but none of that ever worked which ruins a lot of episodes
I liked how they "fixed" Zoidberg and maybe him more likable
I think they did a good job with Amy but wish they kept Kif around as her BF though.

The Fry/Leela relationship was pretty bad though
