This episode came off as a product of the 70 episode contract and the staff knowing without a doubt that they don’t have 70 episodes in them. So they took some overdone idea, put a thin coating of originality on it and called it a day. The B plot was entirely meaningless and devoid of any humor. The only thing it might accomplish in the future is setting up Summer to go on more adventures.
