Season 1 barely got any promotion, Steven Universe, Gumball, and TTG gobbled it all up. The second half of S1 was premiered at 11 at night or 4 in the morning with zero advertisment. The series stopped being rerun in July 2020. Mao Mao has not been aired in the West in nearly a year. Not once, not one rerun.
And now we learn the series was shadow cancelled because the protagonist was a straight male and they couldn't use it for a progressive agenda, and they seem to have a problem with Parker specifically for some reason. He's lost his precious IP and has to start from scratch.
This is legitimately the worst treatment of a creator I've seen since Making Fiends. Worse then Zim, worse then El Tigre, worse then Flapjack. It's bullshit.
Also, Parker is a 4channer. I always support the OAs.
