The way the film begins following Remy was great, but once he gets to the restaurant and meets Alfredo the movie focuses on them as a duo, and whenever Remy takes the centre stage again it's a little frustrating and boring being hung up on his dad essentially saying 'humans bad, steal from them for us instead of following your dreams'. I wonder if there was a better way of making the film by cutting out the talking rats entirely and just focusing on Alfredo's journey of becoming a chef in Paris with Remy as his pet rat sidekick, might've been a better watch but less kids would see it.
