Gravity was always understood to be a 'thing', the only problem was that people didn't think that it existed in space since it's a bit of a logical leap to think that space and earth follow the same rules without means to observe it.
The earth was known to be round since the time of the Ancient greeks, the belief that it was believed as flat comes out of 1850s america.
Religion has also just as often supported science as went against it, for christ's sake the guy who proposed the big bang was a priest.
Even if what you said was true, the difference is that shit like a disbelief in gravity is just from a lack of knowledge about the world, while the LGBTQ movement, especially shit like Trannies and NBs is literally, by definition, in opposition of biology.
