As fore creator owned stuff, animation being a viable medium is only just RECENTLY seeing a resurgence again
The Maxx being the closest you can get to 1:1 and that was in the 90's
As for making it 1:1, people don't like having limits be done when working on something
Invincible took liberties to reorganize events and it came out for the best because those events still happen
Just because something works in a comic doesn't mean it'll work in a cartoon
