>>1228529731. Amber knew that Mark wasn't actually ran over by a bus, let him slide with a lie and kept herself in a relationship with a liar because he promises to start over and stop messing up.
2. Amber realizes she had been left in the dark, lied to, and put in this weird situation where her boyfriend will neither break the relationship off to focus on his important duties or fill her in so she can be an actual part of his life and not just a pet. She's been in that situation for over half a year.
3. The time at the college makes Amber sincerely think Mark has gotten better and won't leave her in the situation anymore.
4. Pic related happens. When Mark said he wanted to start over, he acknowledged he messed up by leaving Amber in the dark and lying to her, he promised to do better from there on out. This is him breaking that promise.
5. Amber is right to be upset and, from what she knows, she's right to assume she'll never be free of this weird grey area situation. She's sure that Mark will never either break it off officially or stop the deception, and she's right to make that judgement.
6. Mark finally picking one of the two and stopping the deception comes after he breaks a major promise, it's not enough to make her suddenly not upset that happened. However, it's not an empty gesture, Amber isn't breaking up and she's not through with Mark. Her looking at the Mars rock shows she has hope for the relationship.
7. She's shown to be closely watching the Mark vs. Omni-Man fight. She still loves and cares for Mark. As soon as she can, she goes to him to support him.
None of this is me making shit up and all of this is in the show. Emphasis and proper framing are the only problems.
In the show, Amber did pretty much nothing wrong.
People are wrong to think she's a bitch or a terrible girlfriend.
