>The GREEN LANTERN CORPS film is still in development with John Stewart as the lead. Hal Jordan will also appear in the film as Stewart's mentor. The film was initially being developed and written by Geoff Johns but it is unclear if he’s still attached.

Warner reportedly wants Michael B. Jordan as John, but they pretty much want Michael B. Jordan for everything.

They also approached Tom Cruise for Hal a few years back and he was actually interested, but ultimately declined because Hal would die in the end.

Does John have any stories aside from muh dead planet? I feel like the only reason why people give a shit about John was because of the JL cartoon and even then, his character depend on his interactions with the rest of the league. I get that people are tired of Hal and the 2011 movie left a bad impression. But if they want another lantern, the could have gone for Guy or Kyle. Hell, Kyle could have cone for the diversity quota, especially since hack Tom King made it more obvious that he's part mexican. Either way, both lanterns have more interesting character arcs than John has.

I disagree. They had Kyle to white lantern shit, ion, or what other dumb idea they have for Kyle. Dc is fucking clueless on who to handle Kyle, but at least they get him to do something. Wally practically got cucked after Flash Rebirth and Flashpoint, only to get retconed into being a black teenager, only to retconed into being lost in the speed force, only to be retconed again as a psychotic mentally unhinged edgelord, only to be retconed once again just to compensate for the HIC shitshow. And even when he's finally back to normal, DC refuses to acknowledge his existence.

He had one episode of Superman: The Animated Series, Season 3, Episode 7 "In Brightest Day…"

I believe his lack of animated appearances is due to nobody giving a fuck about Green Lantern, and those that do are HEAT guys.

Man this is going to be confusing for a shared property like GL. I feel like there's going to be a lot of disconnect, especially if the show or movie decides to go ALL LANTERNS DEAD/DEPOWERED/GUARDIANS EVIL/etc. like is so commonly written. Nevermind if they try to incorporate the rainbow corps.

Actually, thinking about it it might be better to have a show/movie be emerald and the other be another corp. A Red Lanterns movie with a bunch of assholes would be fun.
