>>122518754>>122519625Yeah.... the "Intelligent guard" is the most memorable part of it for me, but this movie sadly feels like the last true attempt to do a serious/adult audience animated film that isn't DtDVD (and/or a violent video game tie-in.) I have to give the filmmakers credit, a scifi story was --on paper-- a great idea for an adult movie, possibly as a gateway to more serious animated films.
We had Bakshi trying his hardest (despite his limitations) through the 70s and 80s to do just that, and then this movie was the last hurrah of the attempts. (I'm not counting Spirits within because that was an unadulterated train wreck from start to finish...)
